A heavily-peated 2011 Port Charlotte single malt from Bruichladdich, PAC:01 has been matured in ex-American whiskey casks for six years before being finished in ex-Pauillac red wine casks for a further two years before bottling.

13.5% alcohol content. Hand harvested, whole cluster fermentation in vat, no pigeage or pumping over, pressed when fermentation is complete. Aged for 24 months in a single 1200 L Stockinger foudre.

A firm, lightly chewy Bdx with currant and wet-earth character. Some walnuts, too. It’s medium-to full-bodied with juicy fruit and tannins and a flavorful finish. Drink or hold.
Deep ruby in color with an attractive bouquet of strawberries and raspberries with hints of black pepper. Full and velvety on the palate with flavors of plum, cocoa, and smoke with smooth tannins and a firm, supple core.
