Part of the 2022 lineup of Diageo's Special Releases, this 12-year-old Lagavulin is a deliciously peaty Islay single malt that was matured in American oak refill and virgin oak casks, then bottled at 114.6 proof. Sweet, spicy, and intensely smoky, it's the iconic Lagavulin, doing what it does best.
The heady aromatics and refined silkiness of Pinot Noir show themselves here with a swirl of wild dark cherry and ripe, red plum aromas seamlessly layered with hints of dusty cocoa and dried herb complexity finishing with an intriguing touch of pink peppercorn spice to round out the lush fruit.
Made from an extreme selection of Montepulciano, Cesanese and Syrah, our Roma Doc is a wine with bright, deep and intense color, dark olfactory sensations, and an aromatic strength of the wine varietals that make up the blend. It also features a limited edition, refined for a long time in barriques.
The 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate is very deep purple-black in color with a crushed plums, blackberries and black cherries nose with hints of dried herbs and smoked meats plus menthol and chocolate box notes. The full-bodied palate is rich, finely textured and fresh, with great purity and length.
Chassagne-Montrachet Premier Cru La Boudriotte from Bruno Colin has an intense nose of white fruit, honey and butter. On the palate, the wine is powerful, firm and full of flavour with a perfectly executed mineral finish. This top-class white wine can be aged for several years before drinking.
Cremant might be Burgundy's greatest value category. This has so much in common with Champagne: a grape (Chardonnay), a soil-type (limestone), and the way in which it's made (methode Champenoise). The big difference? Price. You'd have to spend at least 50% more to get this kind of quality in Champagne.
Sul Vulcano is a straw yellow color with golden reflections. On the nose, it presents a refined bouquet of white flowers combined with delicate citrus and vegetable scents, followed by mineral notes of flint. On the palate it is enveloping, fresh, and sapid, characterized by a marked minerality and persistence.
Planted in 1999, Levy & McClellan is a project by Bob Levy, who has been at Harlan Estate since its beginning, and by Martha McClellan, who is winemaker for Sloan and Checkerboard.
Made from real juice and natural flavors blended with real vodka and sparkling water. The vodka is made with the finest quality Midwest corn and distilled 5x for unapparelled smoothness. Delicious red berry flavor with a delightful, cozy fall vibe. Perfect for a crisp, sunny day -- or any day for that matter.
Another Sonoma Coast releases is the 2016 Chardonnay Durell Vineyard. Quince, buttered citrus, white flowers, creamed corn, and some smoky minerality all define this layered, medium to full-bodied, ultra-pure Chardonnay that has acidity, concentration, and length. It's another gem and all these 2016s are a significant step up over the 2015s.
This Riserva from Sesti is rich, dark and full-bodied. From a beautifully warm and sunny vintage, the 2015 Brunello di Montalcino Riserva Phenomena displays dark fruit, ripe cherry, tobacco, balsam herb and exotic spice. A mere 3,750 bottles were made. The wine is textured and velvety with fresh acidity and integrated tannins.
Francis Boudin has been crafting traditional Chablis for generations and is amongst a set of staunch traditionalists who have refused to be seduced by modernity. Barrel-free Chablis has been the modus operandi at Chantemerle for decades where the philosophy is to craft their wines as naturally and as authentically as possible.
