Christophe Buisson Beaune Clos-Saint-Desire 2014
The wine is aged in oak barrels for 15 months. It has a nice bright straw gold color. The nose is with great finesse with notes of citrus, flowers (acacia), minerality and it reveals a slight touch of honey, which will increase with age . The mouth is large, greedy, round and balanced with a certain liveliness . The finish is a nice length with a hint of minerality and fruit.
100% Chardonnay. Christophe Buisson established his domain in 1996 by renting a few acres of vines. Over time, he gradually added appellations through the purchasing or leasing of land in different areas near Saint-Romain. After moving into his own winery in Beaune in 1999, which was modernized in 2005, he invested in vineyard equipment in order to better farm the land and end the use of herbicides. In 2007, he founded a small negociant just for purchasing grapes, which allowed him to further increase the number of appellations. Since 2008, he has worked the vineyards belonging to his wife's family, a parcel of Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru les Argillieres and a parcel of Puligny-Montrachet. Finally in 2009, the domain began its conversion to organic viticulture and starting with the 2012 vintage year, all their wines are certified organic by Ecocert.
