LAN Vina Lanciano Rioja 2017
Elaborated with selected tempranillo and mazuelo grape varieties. Deep, brilliant black- and red-cherry color. Intense aromas of black and red fruits with balsamic and spicy notes. Tasty, wide, and very harmonic. Bodegas LAN recommends enjoying this outstanding reserva wine with stews, roasted meats, red and grilled meats, game, or cured cheeses.
80% Tempranillo, 20% Mazuelo. Bodegas LAN was founded in 1972 and named after the initials of three provinces in the Rioja Designation of Origin: Logronyo (now called La Rioja), Alava, and Navarra. The most spectacular vineyards in Rioja are owned by Bodegas LAN: a privileged enclave of 178 acres of tempranillo, mazuelo, and graciano located on the border of Rioja ALta with Rioja Alavesa and surrounded by the Ebro River. They are solely engaged in the production of crianza red wines, using Rioja's native tempranillo as the main variety, as this is the ideal grape to produce red wines that are subsequently aged in the cask and bottle.
