The Balvenie Tun 1509 Batch #5

Here we go with another spectacular offering from the Balvenie Tun 1509 series. This awesome limited release is easily one of the year's most exciting products. The idea is the same as always, find the rarest and most special casks from Balvenie's exquisite old stocks, marry them in the traditional vat (called a tun) and bottle them at higher proof.

The result has been some of the most interesting and delicious whisky on the market over the last several years. Batch #5 consists of 29 casks - bourbon barrels, sherry butts, refill American oak hogheads, and sherry hogsheads. What's become paramount in the Tun range is offering incredible balance and complexity without falling too far out of the incredible house style we know and love.
