The 2015 Screaming Eagle Sauvignon Blanc comes from one of the most prestiguos appelations in the United States. From Oakville Californiawas grown on 2 acres at the Screaming Eagle Vineyards and only 600 bottles were produced.
The nose is mouth-wateringly vibrant with gooseberry and tropical fruit characters. The palate doesn't skimp on flavor either, bursting with citrus and natural acidity all wrapped up in great structure and a lengthy finish.
Our vin de pays de la loire is made from vines about 29 years old planted on stony slopes. Very open, this Sauvignon remains true to tradition an is a well-balanced wine that shows vivacity from the attack to the finish.
The climate here is perfect for ripening the fruit while maintaining plenty of zingy acidity, so it’s no wonder why rows of Sauvignon extend as far as the eye can see, interrupted only by the Loire Valley’s splendid châteaux and the meandering river itself.
Vibrant aromas of fresh grapefruit, lemon, and citrus notes give way to subtle herbal notes on the refreshing and light pallet. Crisp and clean on the finish, this is perfect for shellfish and seafood dishes, or wonderful on its own.
