Bolla Chardonnay delle Venezie 2021
For over 130 years, Bolla has been recognized for its trusted taste and quality. Made with handpicked grapes from Italy's Northeast Veneto region, Bolla Chardonnay is refreshing, yet mildy dry, with flavors of citrus, pear, pineapple, and a hint of vanilla.
Serve chilled. It pairs well with fish, fusion dishes, pasta, poultry, shellfish, or soft cheeses.
100% Chardonnay. In the town of Soave, southeast of Verona, Abele Bolla ran the Al Gambero Inn where he served his famous wines and established the first Bolla cellar in 1883. In the 1930s, his son, Alberto, founded a second cellar in Pedemonte to produce Valpolicella and Recioto wines. In 1947, Bolla entered the American market and since has garnered famous admirers, from Frank Sinatra to Rudolph W. Guiliani (mayor of New York City from 1994-2001). The Brown-Forman Corporation became their US importer in 1967, bought 40% of the brand four years later, and takes over the entire company in 2000. At the end of 2006, Gruppo Italiano Vini bought the Piemonte cellar and became the distributor for the Italian market. And in 2009, GIV purchased 100% of the brand while Banfi Vintners is their exclusive partner for the US market.
