Very unique Herzog creation as the winery took some of their best Cabernet Sauvignon grapes and aged them exclusively on French oak that imparts flavors of vanilla and chocolate and even some clove and spice. This wine is intended to highlight the characteristics of French oak versus the American oak bottle Herzog also created.
This 2019 Sonoma County Cabernet Sauvignon is rich with dark cherry, plum and baking spices. The delicious fruit is accompanied by crushed violet and black pepper notes. The palate has medium tannins, lingering spicy oak fl avors and a lush finish. Enjoy this Cabernet now with grilled steak, pot roast, pork shoulder or pasta with a tomato sauce.
