Produced from Saperavi grapes grown in our estate owned vineyards in village Tsinadali of Kakhet region. Fermentation is driven by natural yeast. Aged in oak barrels. Deep cherry red color, with black prune, blackberry, cherry and vanilla tones. The aftertaste is long and spicy with touch of oak, supported by silky tannins. Perfect pair to grilled beef, game and old cheese. Recommended serving temperature 66-68 degrees F.
Clear deep ruby-purple color. Clean and distinguished aromas of black cherries and blueberry jam. These berry jam flavors attack the palate with juiciness getting smoothed out with light vanilla and delicate milk chocolate and roasted java bean. On the palate the wine is dry, full-bodied with firm but ripe velvety tannins and a long finish.
The nose starts with dried red fruits, drying oak tannins, raspberry jam, and an earthy note. A palate of spiced oak, milk chocolate, caramel, white pepper, and sweet black cherry is followed by a lengthy finish of orange peel, honey, sweet lemon cake, creamy chocolate, and pepper spice. Volcano Ridge vineyard is located at the steep slopes of an extinct cinder cone that rise to 2200 feet above sea level. The pure volcanic soils, or 'tephra,' are extremely well-drained and are ideal for vine stress and restricting crop yields.
Red Spot is one of the flagship expressions from the Spot Whiskey label, which dates its history back to 1805. Historically, spots were painted on the barrels that matured their whiskey below the streets of Dublin to indicate age.
Intrigu is only aged in stainless steel for 6 months, followed by 3 months in bottle, which allows for a transparent presentation of the grape. On the nose there are aromas of balsamic, clove, violets, and black pepper. On the palate, the wine is filled with notes of darker black and red fruits, tobacco leaves and a touch of clove. The tannins are gentle and leave a mouth coating finish.
