This bourbon carries an aroma of rich fresh fruit, including plums, raspberries, and dark cherries followed by floral notes. It has a full and slightly soft taste, with long and lasting notes of fruit. The finish is long and savory with subtle tannins and toasted oak. This whiskey was finished in merlot casks from Napa and Sonoma for approximately two to four years.

Beautiful fruit aromas of zesty lime and Meyer lemon, yellow apple, yellow pear and kiwi complement notes of lemon verbena, chalkboard dust and crushed granite. Broad and juicy, the palate echoes the yellow apple and pear on the nose along with additional notes of apricot, hints of white peach, pineapple and honeysuckle. Saint Amour is bounding with juicy raspberry fruit. It's full of energy with great minerality and silky tannins. Saint Amour has the most diverse geology of all of the Cru Beaujolais. Pirolette is distinct because the vineyards are near the top of the hill, where you have very little top soil and very good drainage. The vines average 65 years-old.

As a somewhat more powerful alternative to Zweigelt, Blaufränkisch is also playing an increasingly important role at the Glatzer winery. The typical black cherry dominates the nose, plus a lot of spice with cloves and allspice, also blackberries and some orange zest, plus leafy nuances. A mellow texture on the palate, very engaging, again the spicy blackberry, plus roasted plums, soft tannin and delicate acidity, but intense - a true Blaufränkisch flatterer!
