On the nose this whisky presents intense aromas of yellow fruits and sweet spices. On the palate, it is well balanced, with notes of spicy vanilla and green tea. Enjoy neat, at room temperature. Perfect with a carpaccio of scallops, chocolate-based desserts and light cigars.
In 2018, the Isle of Jura whisky range got a rather snazzy relaunch, which included this tasty 12 year old single malt. Distilled on the eponymous Inner Hebridean island, this expression was initially matured in American white oak ex-Bourbon barrels, before being moved over to Oloroso sherry casks for a finishing period. A great example of Jura's delicious malts, more than suitable as an after dinner dram.
Blue is the color of royalty and we’d have to agree … especially when our eyes have the opportunity to catch a glimpse (and our tongues a taste!) of Chivas Regal Royal Salute ‘The Time’ Series single cask finish 52 year old blended scotch. Without a doubt one of the most kingly whiskey’s available, this perfectly aged wonder is well endowed in both aroma and flavor. The nose begins with boughs intense fruits – plums and dark red orchard apples.
A blend of bourbons aged 15 years and up, this is the follow-up to the most decadent expression in Widow Jane's lineup. Finished in air-seasoned Appalachian oak and bottled at 99 proof, it's their oldest offering.
The whiskey aging process is influenced by time & place. Aren't we lucky. These barrels have all been influenced by the greatly original source and their time in our Rick House in Red Hook, Brooklyn. The different rick house positions combined with flavor & alcohol strength.
