After a three year break, the Glendronach Grandeur is back! First released in 2010, Grandeur is a limited-edition single malt that superbly represents Glendronach’s smooth, complex and full-bodied style. The whisky is specially selected by Master Blender Rachel Barrie from among the oldest and most unique sherry casks, maturing in Glendronach’s traditional dunnage warehouses.
This limited Shibui was distilled using premium indica rice at Masahiro Distillery est. 1883. Matured 10 years in Virgin European White Oak & 100% natural color. Distilled, matured & bottled exclusively in Okinawa, Japan. Notes of tropical fruit, whipped cream & salted caramel.
More limestone in the soil compared to Charmois. Native yeast fermentation in stainless steel. Aged in French oak barrels for 24 months, less than 15% new. 30-45 g/L sulfur added at bottling. Corpulent, lemon curd with zippy acidity.
