The 2012 is quite pale at the present time, with brilliant green highlights. The nose is well-defined and mineral. Still very young and quite elegant, this wine has yet to reveal its full complexity. However, its class already comes through in the mineral and floral aromas released when the wine is swirled in the glass.
The 2019 Joel Gott Unoaked California Chardonnay has aromas of ripe pear, Fuji apple, pineapple, and melon with citrus notes. On the palate, the wine opens with bright fruit flavors and acidity, followed by a round mouthfeel on the mid-palate and crisp minerality on the finish.
Staffelter Hof is probably one of Moselle's oldest winegrowing estate and critics are always impressed by the exquisite balance of their wines. The proper mix of acidity and fruit sweetness sets the mouth of this Riesling with a glimpse of lemongrass, green apple, flower and mineral dust.
Light but unique in character, this approachable Sauvignon Blanc is filled with aromas of passion fruit, grapefruit, gooseberry and guava. 19 Crimes Sauvignon Block is light bodied with a fresh, crisp finish and a light straw color. A criminally easy wine to enjoy in many ways.
