Francis Boudin has been crafting traditional Chablis for generations and is amongst a set of staunch traditionalists who have refused to be seduced by modernity. Barrel-free Chablis has been the modus operandi at Chantemerle for decades where the philosophy is to craft their wines as naturally and as authentically as possible.
Orchard house gathers together some of the fruitiest malts Scotland has to offer, including whiskies from the Linkwood and Clynelish Distilleries; what's more, we have sourced many of these whiskies as new spirit and laid them down in our own oak casks. This, our monument to fresh fruitiness in Scotch whisky, has been many years in the making.
Dry red wine. The grapes were harvested from the oldest of the winery's plots. Aged for about 22 months in French oak barrels, most of them new. Characterized by an extremely high acidity level, allowing the wine to continue to age for years. The wine has an 'old world' substance, and is suitable for heavy meat meals.
Intense red-violet color. Very mineral nose with a lot of red fruit, mint and a peppermint background, very complex aromas in perfect harmony with the tertiary aromas of its long aging in the barrel.
