This whiskey is distilled from malted grain and mash corn, on Honshu Island, before resting in oak barrels. It has floral aromas with caramel and spice notes, as well as a palate consisting of generous oak and cooked fruit. It finishes with a hint of smokiness.
Named for the virgin oak barrels sourced from the Kelvin Cooperage in Louisville, Kentucky, this 12 yr old single malt has a pleasantly bready character along with hints of vanilla, brown butter, almond, and a bit of salt on the finish.
Straw yellow color with greenish reflections. Intense aromas of limes and white peaches complement undertones of green apples and grains of paradise. Delicately scented and soft on the palate, it offers classic citrus and floral notes in a balanced elegant style.
Ripe black cherries, wild blackberries, blackcurrants, nutmeg, licorice, mahogany, musk and some dried thyme on the nose. It’s full-bodied and polished with intense blue and black-fruit flavors, wonderfully balanced with wood, spice and smoky notes. Velvety, integrated tannins.
