Joseph Zakon Winery, which produces Kesser wines, was founded in 1981. The Brookyln-born winemaker, and his wife Michelle, named the winery with a Kabbalistic approach. Kesser, which means “crown” in Hebrew, is the basis for leadership in Judaism. The wines are stylistically made for Kiddush, meaning“to make Holy.” Who better to lead Kiddush than the person wearing the Crown?
A compelling wine, with expressive blackberry and briary underbrush aromas and refined yet evocative cherry, smoky mint and pepper aromas that linger toward plump tannins.
Firm, but balanced, this is a wine with many of the virtues of the vintage. It has weight and richness, but also fresh, juicy, fruity acidity all packaged nicely in tannins.
Great aromatic elegance, both fruity and flowery bloom in perfect balance. Refreshing wine with a clean and crispy finish. Perfect with cheese, seafood, fish and salads.
A great entry level cabernet sauvignon. Medium-bodied red wine with plum and currant aromas and flavors. A nice accompaniment to all meats, pastas and cheeses.
A combination of the sky and the ocean, La Maison Bleue is a perfect symbol of the terroir from which it comes. This cuvée has benefited from the warmth of the South-West sun to develop body and complexity, while at the same time enjoying an oceanic climate which gives it freshness and vivacity.
With a golden colour, this wine offers a nose of great finesse. Fresh and fruity with delicate aromas, it will go wonderfully well with seafood, fish, white meats or an Alsatian choucroute.
