The first wine made by Esporão in 1985. Obtained from grapes grown at Herdade do Esporão, it shows the consistency and rich character typical of the best Alentejo wines.
Fortified wine produced in the mountainsides along the Douro Valley selected to age in wooden vats. It shows maturity in colour, concentration in flavours and evolution in the aroma.
With an appealing aromatic intensity, it presents woody notes, aromas of nuts, light smoke, sweet and balsamic aromas, due to the stage in wooden barrels. On the palate, sweetness is compensated by acidity, which gives it freshness and balance, reveals notes of nuts, roasted coffee, torrefaction and light chocolate.
With a floral aroma of citrus, lemon and lime, it reveals a pleasant aromatic freshness with slight nuances of wood. On the palate it is velvety, fresh and balanced with notes of fruit, citrus, dry apricot and slight woody nuances.
Very dark ruby in colour almost opaque with intense aromas of very ripe fruit. Combining in highly complex wines that have great longevity.
Intense ruby color. Fruity (ripe red fruits) and spicy aromas. Complex, elegant and well balanced, this is a full-bodied wine with smooth tannins. Long and pleasant finish.
This lightly wood-aged wine offers a mix of spice and ripe black fruits. The tannins are properly softened while still giving the fruitiness shape and structure.
This generous, ripe wine is full of black fruits that have been smoothed by wood aging. Its balanced texture and fruitiness have some of the region's minerality as well as a fresh aftertaste.
Elegant and complex, this 20-year-old tawny marries an intense nutty flavor with butterscotch and oak. It is a wine of exceptional character with a nice sweet finish.
Red colour. Very rich aromas of ripe young fruits. Strong and full-bodied, long and persistent finish.
