For over 35 years, the Herzog and Watts families have worked together to grow spectacular Zinfandel in the Mokelumne River region of Lodi. This Zinfandel is crafted from vines up to 80 years old, capturing intense flavors and rich texture. The wine is balanced and not overly sweet, a style modeled after some of the most historic Late Harvest wines of France.

88% Zinfandel, 12% Petite Sirah.

Optimally ripened with a firm grasp on continuous, slightly juicy, blackberry fruit and showing an uncommon sense of sophistication and crafting at every stop along its way, Green & Red's Heminway Estate Reserve is a deep, beautifully balanced, moderately full–bodied Zin that claims more layered complexity than most.

The 2018 vintage show lovely aromatics of dark fruit, clove, black pepper, vanilla and toasty oak. Rich in the mid pallet, this wine coats the mouth. With a long finish this is a big wine and it will only get better with time. The soft integrated tannin and long finish draw you back for the next sip. Drink now, or age for 5-8 years.

A deep maroon core with a ruby rim, the 2021 Eight Years in the Desert opens with aromas of wild blackberry, pepper, oatmeal raisin cookie, Sequoia forest floor, bay leaf and spices. The entry is broad and opulent with a mid-palate of brambly raspberry, black cherry, ripe blueberry and a hint of cacao.
