Long ago, a man named Bertin decided to cultivate the same vines in his field as those of the Bèze monks. His wine was so exceptional that his vineyard came to be known solely in reference to him: Bertin's field, or, in French, 'Champ de Bertin', which over the years became'Chambertin'.

Lovely black cherry and spice aromas lead to a lush palate of blackberry, pomegranate and red fruits. There is some definite weight to the yet the finish remains silky smooth. Very versatile, this wine pairs with a wide variety of foods.

Chateau Souverain Pinot Noir reveals aromas of brown spice and blackberries on the nose. The oak profile is very complementary and integrated with notes of butterscotch and graham cracker characteristics on the palate.

Aromas of fresh violets and roses, ripe cherries, plums, clove, and a touch of bacon fat leap out of the glass and definitely raise eyebrows. On the palate, it’s sleek, silky, and complete.

Jean Boxler, many generations removed from his ancestor of the same name that moved here from Switzerland in 1673, currently rules the roost at this humble yet incredibly exciting domaine.

The 2020 Pierres Dorees has a dark garnet color with an intense nose of black fruits, blueberry, and cherries. There is a fullness on the palate with flavors of currant and mocha followed by a fresh finish.

Grivot's 2014 Nuits St Georges 1er Cru les Roncières has a clean, quite pure bouquet with cranberry, bergamot and wild hedgerow aromas, developing rose petal/pressed flower scents with aeration. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannin, a fine line of acidity, fleshy and rounded with a caressing, poised finish that keeps you coming back for another sip.

Louis Latour Pinot Noir Valmoissine is a fruity wine, it offers a soft and silky palate with soft tannins. Ideal pairings include grilled red meat, cheese, or red fruits.
